Where To Start? I recently received the following email message. Since there are millions of people facing this very same dilemma, I decided to dedicate this tip to you - the "work at home wannabes!" Jim, I found your site surfing around trying to find out how to make money on the web. I ordered your book and >liked what I read. Maybe someday I can work from home, the only problem is where to start. Please help !!!!!!! I receive messages like this every week. As an ex-employee who turned the corner in less than a year I know it CAN be done. Whether you are in a similar predicament or you have managed to get started, but have been misfiring, I can help. It all comes down to that very question... "Where to Start?" There are literally thousands of business opportunities online. Some great, some not so great. So how do you choose the right path for creating your own steady stream of internet profits?... Simple: You set up YOUR OWN business first, then go from there. "But wait a second", some of you are thinking. "I don't want to set up my own business, I just want to make money with something that is already in full swing. Can't I do that?" Sure you can, but either way, you are going to need a steady flow of prospects, or someone to market to. That's right, no matter what business opportunity you decide to join, one fact remains a constant -- you will need to generate interest, or prospects. This is the part of any business that will take the most effort, so... Why do this for someone else's business when you can make all this effort pay off for "YOUR OWN BUSINESS?" Too many people jump into new business opportunities head- first without thinking about this concept. What happens? They inevitably spend far too much time building "someone else's" business! Think about it -- why base your own livelihood on an opportunity that you cannot fully control? Sure, there are people making big bucks as Avon distributors or Amway resellers. But the most successful people, even in these categories understand this concept. They have built "THEIR OWN" business first and understand the importance of this concept. So how do you go about building your own business? Well, thanks to the internet, it is much easier than it used to be. Thanks to cyberspace, you no longer need a hefty budget for things like advertising, yellow page listings, and the usual high costs of operating in a non-virtual world. Starting a pre-internet business was very difficult, especially for folks with small budgets. This is why so many people chose to work other people's businesses! Cyberspace is different. It has created a new business model that is very effective. Here it is, in three simple steps.
1. Setting up your business means just that -- you set up YOUR business online, based on something of your own. (Even if you have nothing of your own to base it on, you can accomplish this!) For an excellent example of this concept, see The main keys to properly setting up you own cyberbusiness are: 2. Promote it. This is the most important step of the three. It is a never- ending task that you will do throughout the life of your business. Again, thanks to the internet this can be done without a large cash investment. Your biggest investment will be time. The main keys to promoting your online business are: 3. Grow it. Once you've set up and begun promoting your business, all that's left is to grow it. This is the ideal time to add related products, services and opportunities to YOUR web site! The main keys to growing your online business are: That's it! Perhaps I've over-simplified the process of making money online, but hey there's really nothing too complicated about it. If I can do it, anyone can. The hardest part is just getting started - why not get that step out of the way today... This week's tip by JIM DANIELS of JDD Publishing Company. Have you been to Jim's http://bizweb2000.com lately?
